Sun, salt and wind are demanding. Here is how we select materials that stay beautiful season after season on the Riviera.

Understanding the environment

On the Côte d’Azur, outdoor furniture faces intense UV exposure, salty sea air and sudden storms. Materials that perform well inland can age prematurely just a few metres from the sea.

Outdoor furniture should feel as refined as the interior, and last as long.

Teak, aluminium and stone

Grade A teak remains a timeless choice: dense, naturally oily and resistant to moisture. Powder-coated marine-grade aluminium offers lightness and modern lines without corrosion. Natural stone and ceramic tops bring weight and permanence to dining areas.

We often combine them, for example a teak frame with a ceramic top, to balance warmth, durability and maintenance.

Fabrics that resist the sun

Solution-dyed acrylics and technical outdoor fabrics keep their colour under strong sunlight and dry quickly after rain. Quick-dry foams prevent water from staying inside cushions.

Designing for real use

Pool loungers, daybeds and dining sets must be comfortable for long afternoons and easy to move or store. We design each outdoor piece around how the terrace is actually lived in.
